Description: This object allows to specify the PHY type of 10G Ethernet Port. 10G ports can operate in LAN-PHY or WAN-PHY mode. The default mode is LAN-PHY and port rate in this mode is 10Gbps. In WAN-PHY mode the port rate is 9.29Gbps. This attribute is only applicable for ports configured to work at speed-10G-full. For other speeds the value of this object must be 'not-applicable' and cannot be changed.

What is cmEthernetAccPortXgePhyType?

This object allows configuration of the physical layer mode (LAN-PHY or WAN-PHY) for 10 Gigabit Ethernet access ports in ADVA optical network equipment. LAN-PHY mode operates at full 10 Gbps while WAN-PHY mode reduces bandwidth to 9.29 Gbps to account for overhead. An operator adjusts this value to match the circuit requirements at each port, with WAN-PHY typically used for long-distance links and LAN-PHY for local data center connectivity.
