cmEthernetAccPortQLModeEnabled
Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB
OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetAccPortQLModeEnabled
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.1.1.91
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: This object allows to specify whether the Ethernet Access Port can be enabled/disabled for QL Mode. This object is only applicable for Synchronous Ethernet capable ports, when cmEthernetAccPortQLModeEnabled is set to true. When enabled, on receive side -port shall PEER the SSM (Sync Status Messages) slow protocol PDUs and take appropriate action When enabled, on transmit side -port shall periodically (once a second) transmit QL TLV information PDUs When disabled, on receive side, -port shall terminate and discard any SSM slow protocol PDUs When disabled, on transmit side -port shall not transmit any SSM slow protocol PDUs.
What is cmEthernetAccPortQLModeEnabled?
This read-write TruthValue, applicable only to Synchronous Ethernet capable ports, enables QL (Quality Level / SSM) mode processing on the Ethernet Access Port. Enabling it lets the port peer SSM slow-protocol PDUs on receive and periodically transmit its own quality level on transmit. For example, an administrator enables QL Mode so the port both advertises its own clock quality and reacts appropriately to received SSM PDUs from an upstream timing source.
