cmEthernetAccPortPersistentLoopbackControl

Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetAccPortPersistentLoopbackControl

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.1.1.134

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This object allows enabling/disabling of Persistent Loopback Control. The loopback configuration parameters do not survive restart as typically maintenance actions are not persist. Setting this attribute to true shall persist the loopback configuration parameters. When it is set to false the loopback configuration parameters shall not survive a restart.

What is cmEthernetAccPortPersistentLoopbackControl?

This read-write TruthValue controls whether loopback configuration parameters on the Ethernet Access Port survive a device restart, since maintenance loopbacks normally do not persist. Enabling it makes the loopback configuration persist across a restart instead of being cleared. For example, an administrator enables persistent loopback control before a planned card reset so an in-progress, long-duration test loopback is not accidentally cleared.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.1.1.134
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetAccPortPersistentLoopbackControl

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.1.1.134.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetAccPortPersistentLoopbackControl.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.1.1.134.1 s <value>
