Description:
This object allows to configure the OAM sublayer entity in either Active or Passive mode.
What is cmEthernetAccPortOamLocalMode?
This object sets the Ethernet OAM (Operations, Administration, and Maintenance) sublayer to either Active mode (generates OAM frames) or Passive mode (responds to received OAM frames only). Active mode is used for proactive monitoring and link status discovery, while Passive mode is used when monitoring should be transparent. Operators configure this to balance network visibility with the risk of OAM traffic overhead.
