cmEthernetAccPortLoopbackBlockingEnabled
Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB
OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetAccPortLoopbackBlockingEnabled
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.1.1.105
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: This object allows frame blocking when loopback is active. - True: Blocks frames in the non-loopback direction that match the PORT or VLAN received in the non-loopback direction. Discards frames in the loopback direction that match the PORT or VLAN, but do not match the MAC address criteria, - False: No blocking of frames.
What is cmEthernetAccPortLoopbackBlockingEnabled?
This read-write TruthValue controls whether frames not matching the loopback's port/VLAN and MAC criteria are blocked while a loopback is active on the Ethernet Access Port, discarding non-matching frames in both directions when enabled. It prevents live customer traffic and test traffic from interfering with each other during a loopback test. For example, an administrator enables blocking so unrelated customer frames on that port and VLAN are discarded while a loopback test is running, instead of leaking through in the wrong direction.
