cmEthernetAccPortExpectedQL

Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetAccPortExpectedQL

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.1.1.92

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: SSMQualityLevel

Access: read-write

Description: This object allows to specify the expected QL when the Ethernet Access Port is enabled for QL Mode. This object is only applicable for Synchronous Ethernet capable ports, when cmEthernetAccPortQLModeEnabled is set to true. This object allows the user to set a minimum expected received Quality Level on the port. The valid values depend upon the SYNC entity's Network Clock Type. A value of None represents that a minimum Quality Level is not expected. The default value shall be None.

What is cmEthernetAccPortExpectedQL?

This read-write SSMQualityLevel, applicable when QL Mode is enabled on a Synchronous Ethernet capable port, sets the minimum acceptable received Quality Level the port will accept as a timing reference. It protects the system clock from locking onto a lower-quality, less reliable reference than expected. For example, an administrator sets an Expected QL so the port rejects a degraded timing reference and fails over to a better clock source instead.
