Description: The COS assigned to a frame that does not have a valid COS identifier for the Priority Map Mode of the port. This attribute is only applicable on products when Flowpoint Model is supported.

This value is assigned to a frame received on a port when: - the cmEthernetAccPortPrioMapMode=priomap-8021p, ingressCOSPriority=inner-vlantag; and the frame is untagged - the cmEthernetAccPortPrioMapMode=priomap-8021p, ingressCOSPriority=inner-vlantag; and the frame has a single VLAN tag - the cmEthernetAccPortPrioMapMode=priomap-8021p, ingressCOSPriority=outer-vlantag; and the frame is untagged - the cmEthernetAccPortPrioMapMode=priomap-dscp; and the frame does not have an IP ethertype - the cmEthernetAccPortPrioMapMode=priomap-tos; and the frame does not have an IP ethertype.

This attribute has been deprecated and is not supported. The Default COS is determined from the flowpoint's associated Priority Mapping Profle.

What is cmEthernetAccPortDefaultCOS?

This read-write Integer32 (0 to 7), applicable only when the Flowpoint Model is supported, sets the COS value assigned to frames that lack a valid COS identifier for the port's priority map mode. It provides a fallback class of service for otherwise unclassifiable frames, such as untagged frames when inner-tag mapping is expected. For example, an administrator sets Default COS to 0 so untagged frames arriving on a port expecting inner-VLAN-tag priority still get a safe best-effort class instead of being misclassified.
