Admins configure this to prevent a carrier's own CDP frames (or a customer's) from leaking across a service boundary, since CDP can expose internal device and topology information to the wrong party. For example, on a customer-facing access port, an admin would set cmEthernetAccPortCpdV2CdpDispType to drop so any CDP frames from the customer's Cisco equipment don't propagate into the carrier's network.
