What is cmEthernetAccPortCpdV2BridgeReservedDispType?
CpdV2BridgeReservedDispType is a read-write setting on the Ethernet access port (the customer/UNI-facing facility) that selects how the block of IEEE-reserved bridge protocols spanning MAC addresses 01:80:C2:00:00:04 through 0F control frames are disposed of when they reach this NE — typically processed locally, dropped, passed through untouched, or tunneled across the network via L2PT. An administrator would only touch this legacy group control when they have not yet migrated to the newer per-MAC-address disposition objects that superseded it. This particular object is marked deprecated in favor of per-MAC-address disposition objects, but is retained for backward compatibility. On an access port handed off to a customer switch, an administrator relying on this legacy object would know any of the eight MAC addresses in the 04-0F range share the same disposition until migrated to per-MAC control.
