Description: Control Protocol Disposition for IEEE Spanning Tree(STP), MSTP (Multiple Spanning Tree) and RSTP (Rapid Reconfiguration of Spanning Tree). MAC Address (01:80:C2:00:00:00).
What is cmEthernetAccPortCpdV2BPDUDispType?
This read-write CmControlProtocolDispType object sets the Control Protocol Disposition specifically for IEEE Spanning Tree (STP), MSTP, and RSTP BPDU frames, identified by MAC address 01:80:C2:00:00:00, on an Ethernet Access Port. Admins configure this to control whether a customer's spanning tree topology can interact with the carrier's own network across the access boundary, a very common filter for preventing unwanted topology-change events from crossing a service demarcation. For example, on a Layer 2 access port serving a customer with their own independent spanning tree domain, an admin would set cmEthernetAccPortCpdV2BPDUDispType to drop so the customer's BPDUs don't trigger topology changes in the carrier's network.
