This object sets the probability (as a percentage or ratio) that low-priority (green-marked) packets will be randomly discarded when the output queue reaches a configurable threshold in a WRED (Weighted Random Early Discard) traffic shaper. WRED reduces congestion tail drops by proactively discarding packets before queues completely fill. QoS engineers use this parameter to tune the balance between link utilization and loss rate for different traffic classes.
