bitsPortSaBitsAdminState

Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::bitsPortSaBitsAdminState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.16.1.24

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: SaBitsState

Access: read-write

Description: This object allows to manage the five Sa Bit values, from bit4 to bit8, for the BITS-OUT port. The object value is a BIT string that concatenate the Sa Bit values. The Sa Bit values are applied to each of the five Sa Bits of the output signal except to the one that carries SSM information when QL Mode is enabled.

What is bitsPortSaBitsAdminState?

This object manages the administrative configuration of the five Sa Bits (bits 4-8) in a BITS-OUT port output signal, where each bit can carry status or signaling information. The object uses a BIT string to set all five Sa Bits at once, with special handling when Quality Level (QL) Mode is enabled—in that case, one of the Sa Bits carries Synchronization Status Message (SSM) information instead of a static admin value. Timing engineers configure this to ensure downstream equipment receives the correct Sa Bit patterns for synchronization and alarm signaling.
