What is bitsPortLineBuildOut?

bitsPortLineBuildOut is a read-write setting that manages the line build-out (output signal level compensation) on a BITS-OUT port when its line type is T1. An administrator tunes this to match the length/loss of the copper span connecting the BITS-OUT port to the receiving timing equipment, since an incorrect build-out setting can cause signal reflections or attenuation problems on that span. For example, a BITS-OUT port feeding a piece of equipment over a long T1 cable run would need a higher line build-out setting than one feeding equipment a few feet away.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CM-FACILITY-MIB::bitsPortLineBuildOut

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.16.1.19.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CM-FACILITY-MIB::bitsPortLineBuildOut.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.16.1.19.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> bitsPortLineBuildOut.1
