What is bitsPortEntityIndex?
bitsPortEntityIndex is a read-only value giving the ENTITY-MIB physical index that corresponds to this BITS timing port. This lets management software look up the port's physical inventory details, such as which card and connector it belongs to, using the standard entity table rather than a proprietary lookup. For example, an inventory report cross-referencing BITS ports against ENTITY-MIB's entPhysicalTable would use this index to attach a physical slot/connector label to each timing port entry.
