Description: The status of this row. An entry MUST NOT exist in the active state unless all objects in the entry have an appropriate value, as described in the description clause for each writable object.
The values of bits8PortGroupRowStatus supported are createAndGo(4) and destroy(6). All mandatory attributes must be specified in a single SNMP SET request with bits8PortGroupRowStatus value as createAndGo(4). Upon successful row creation, this object has a value of active(1).
The bits8PortGroupRowStatus object may be modified if the associated instance of this object is equal to active(1).
What is bits8PortGroupRowStatus?
This is the standard SNMP row-lifecycle control for creating or deleting a BITS 8 Port Group entry, supporting only createAndGo(4) and destroy(6) with all mandatory attributes required in the same SET. Provisioning systems use it to atomically stand up a complete BITS timing group configuration before it goes active. For example, a provisioning tool creates a new BITS 8 Port Group by sending one SET that includes bits8PortGroupFrameFormat, bits8PortGroupSaBitDesignation, and bits8PortGroupRowStatus=createAndGo(4) together.
