rlLldpXMedLocMediaPolicyContainerVlanID

Module: CISCOSB-LLDP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-LLDP-MIB::rlLldpXMedLocMediaPolicyContainerVlanID

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.110.1.2.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: An extension of the VLAN Identifier for the port, as defined in IEEE 802.1P-1998.

A value of 1 through 4094 is used to define a valid PVID.

A value of 0 shall be used if the device is using priority tagged frames, meaning that only the 802.1p priority level is significant and the default VID of the ingress port is being used instead.

A value of 4095 is reserved for implementation use.

What is rlLldpXMedLocMediaPolicyContainerVlanID?

This read-write Integer32 sets the VLAN ID for an LLDP-MED network policy, where 1-4094 is a valid PVID, 0 means priority-tagged frames using the port's default VID, and 4095 is reserved. It defines which VLAN attached devices like IP phones should use once they learn this policy via LLDP-MED. For example, setting this to 100 tells an attached IP phone to tag its voice traffic into VLAN 100.
