What Is CISCO-RFC1407-CAPABILITY?
CISCO-RFC1407-CAPABILITY is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module declaring which parts of RFC1407-MIB (the standard DS3/E3 interface MIB) a Cisco WAN platform's SNMP agent implements. It belongs to Cisco's conformance/capability MIB family that profiles support for IETF standards-based interface MIBs. Like other capability modules, it contains no runtime hardware or software status data of its own; it exists solely to tell management systems which DS3 interface object groups and table entries a given Cisco device supports. It is entirely dependent on the standard RFC1407-MIB (DS3 MIB) that it profiles. Such capability declarations are used when validating SNMP agent compliance on Cisco routers equipped with DS3 WAN interface cards. Engineers can download the CISCO-RFC1407-CAPABILITY file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
