Description: Provides management objects for IP address pool management used in Cisco UCS/Firepower service profile networking configuration.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCO-FIREPOWER-IPPOOL-MIB?

CISCO-FIREPOWER-IPPOOL-MIB manages IP address pools used for automatic assignment to service profiles and management interfaces within Cisco UCS/Firepower environments. It exposes tables of individual pool addresses and address blocks, tracking whether each address is currently assigned and to what entity. The MIB supports monitoring software/configuration status by exposing global assigned versus defined address counts, letting administrators detect IP pool exhaustion before new service profiles fail to get an address. It is part of the Cisco UCS/Firepower management information model and shares DN/RN addressing with sibling Firepower MIBs. It is deployed on Cisco UCS/Firepower fabric interconnects that automatically provision management or vNIC IP addressing for blade/rack servers, and administrators typically load the CISCO-FIREPOWER-IPPOOL-MIB MIB Browser definitions to inspect these pool allocation objects directly.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-FIREPOWER-IPPOOL-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco UCS/Firepower fabric interconnects

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll cfprIppoolAddrTable, reading cfprIppoolAddrAssigned and cfprIppoolAddrAssignedToDn to see which addresses are in use and by what service profile, while cfprIppoolAddrGlobalAssignedCnt approaching cfprIppoolAddrGlobalDefinedCnt across cfprIppoolBlockTable signals the pool is nearly exhausted. This would warn an administrator to expand the IP pool before new server provisioning requests start failing.

What Can Be Monitored

  • assigned vs defined address counts
  • address assignment target
  • pool block ranges
  • address ownership
