Description: Defines SNMP agent capability statements for Cisco 802.11 Context Services Client MIB on wireless client platforms.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CISCO-DOT11-CONTEXT-SERVICES-CLIENT-CAPABILITY?
CISCO-DOT11-CONTEXT-SERVICES-CLIENT-CAPABILITY is a Cisco AGENT-CAPABILITIES module, not a data-bearing MIB, that declares which objects and groups of the separate CISCO-CONTEXT-SERVICES-CLIENT-MIB a given Cisco 802.11 wireless agent implementation actually supports. As a conformance module it defines no operational data categories of its own, such as interfaces, environment, or performance counters. Consequently it plays no direct role in monitoring hardware or software runtime status; instead it is consumed by management-station tooling to determine, ahead of time, which variables of the referenced client MIB can be polled on a given agent. Its only dependency is the CISCO-CONTEXT-SERVICES-CLIENT-MIB whose implementation coverage it documents. It is shipped alongside Cisco 802.11 wireless client/access-point software images to declare SNMP agent support for context-services client features. Engineers can download the CISCO-DOT11-CONTEXT-SERVICES-CLIENT-CAPABILITY file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-DOT11-CONTEXT-SERVICES-CLIENT-CAPABILITY. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Cisco 802.11 wireless client/access point platforms (conformance declaration only)
Monitoring Examples
This is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module with no sample objects and no runtime data of its own; it only declares which groups/objects of CISCO-CONTEXT-SERVICES-CLIENT-MIB the agent implements, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe.
