Description: Manages parental control lock levels and PIN-based content restriction on the Cisco DMN D9800 satellite receiver.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CISCO-DMN-DSG-LOCKLEVEL-MIB?
CISCO-DMN-DSG-LOCKLEVEL-MIB is a small, narrowly-scoped Cisco proprietary MIB for parental-control lock-level and PIN-based content restriction on the D9800 satellite receiver, part of the DMN DSG MIB family. It exposes configuration data only: the currently configured lock/restriction level, plus current, new and confirmation PIN objects used to change the administrative access PIN. Its monitoring value is software/policy-configuration status rather than any hardware telemetry — the lock-level value reveals the currently enforced content-restriction tier, useful for auditing that a receiver matches the site's content policy. It has no notable dependency on other MIBs, being self-contained within the D9800 DSG MIB family. It is deployed on D9800 satellite receivers wherever parental-control/content-restriction policy needs to be centrally managed or audited, and administrators can download the CISCO-DMN-DSG-LOCKLEVEL-MIB file to load it into their configuration management tools.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-DMN-DSG-LOCKLEVEL-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Cisco DMN D9800 digital satellite receiver
Monitoring Examples
Polling lockLevel reveals the currently enforced parental-control restriction tier, letting an admin verify a receiver's lock level matches the site's content policy. lockLevelPWDCUR, lockLevelPWDNEW and lockLevelPWDCONF are set together when changing the administrative PIN, so a script performing a bulk PIN rotation across many D9800 units would set these three objects in sequence and confirm lockLevel is unchanged afterward.
What Can Be Monitored
- current lock/restriction level
- PIN change state
