What Is CIG-SERVERS-MIB?
CIG-SERVERS-MIB is an Avaya-proprietary MIB used to configure and monitor Common Interworking Gateway (CIG) servers acting as TFTP and DHCP servers, typically supporting device provisioning in Avaya voice/telephony deployments. It exposes objects for TFTP server operating mode, statistics reset, and storage utilization in both NVRAM and RAM, along with counters for successful downloads and various TFTP error conditions. Its monitoring emphasis is on software/service health and storage capacity: operators track TFTP storage usage against capacity, download success counts, and specific error types (file-not-found, access violation, disk full, illegal operation) to detect provisioning failures or storage exhaustion. It is an Avaya enterprise MIB with no stated dependency on a standard TFTP or DHCP MIB. It is deployed on Avaya CIG appliances that provision IP phones and other endpoints via TFTP/DHCP in enterprise telephony networks, where CIG-SERVERS-MIB SNMP monitoring tracks download success and storage utilization to catch provisioning failures early.
