This counter tracks the number of DHCPDISCOVER packets -- the broadcast a client sends to find any available DHCP server -- that this server has received, starting at zero. A high or rapidly climbing count relative to cigDhcpServersDhcpOffers or cigDhcpServersDhcpAcks can indicate clients aren't successfully completing the DHCP handshake, perhaps because the pool is exhausted or offers aren't reaching them. For instance, if Discovers count climbs steadily while DhcpAcks barely moves, that mismatch points to clients retrying because they're not getting usable offers.
