Description: Manages configuration file save, load, and factory-reset operations on Cisco IE1000 industrial Ethernet switches.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CIE1000-ICFG-MIB?
CIE1000-ICFG-MIB is a Cisco private MIB for the IE1000 series industrial Ethernet switches, providing a private version of ICFG (Cisco's image/configuration file management framework). It exposes configuration-management data: statistics on the number and size of stored configuration files, flash memory total and free space, a per-file table with name/size/modification time, and the status of file-copy or config-save operations. In monitoring terms it is primarily a software/configuration state module -- it lets an operator confirm flash storage capacity, verify recent configuration backups, and check whether a config copy or factory-reset job completed successfully. It builds on Cisco's broader ICFG/flash-management conventions for file storage rather than a standard IETF MIB. It is typically deployed on ruggedized IE1000 switches in industrial/factory-floor network environments where remote configuration management and flash health matter. Engineers can download the CIE1000-ICFG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CIE1000-ICFG-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Cisco IE1000 industrial Ethernet switch
Monitoring Examples
An admin would poll cie1000IcfgStatusFileStatisticsFlashFreeBytes and cie1000IcfgStatusFileStatisticsFlashSizeBytes to watch for flash space running low, and walk cie1000IcfgStatusFileTable/cie1000IcfgStatusFileEntry (indexed by cie1000IcfgStatusFileFileNo) to confirm cie1000IcfgStatusFileFileName, cie1000IcfgStatusFileBytes, and cie1000IcfgStatusFileModifiedTime for the running/startup config files. Checking cie1000IcfgStatusCopyConfigStatus after a scheduled backup job would reveal whether a config-save or config-load operation succeeded or failed. A shrinking cie1000IcfgStatusFileStatisticsFlashFreeBytes value over time could predict an impending out-of-space condition for configuration backups.
What Can Be Monitored
- number of configuration files stored
- total/free flash bytes
- individual config file name/size/modified time
- config copy operation status
