Description: Manages base subscriber unit (SU) association tables on Alvarion BreezeACCESS base station units.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is BSUSUBASE-MIB?

BSUSUBASE-MIB is an Alvarion (aniBsu prefix) enterprise MIB for BreezeACCESS fixed-wireless base station units, focused on managing the association between the base station and its subscriber units (SUs) via a proxy mechanism. It exposes a table of subscriber unit entries covering network access permissions, maximum supported hosts, and target/operating frequency for each SU. Its monitoring value centers on wireless link configuration and subscriber-level status rather than general hardware sensors, letting an operator confirm which SUs are associated, their allowed host counts, and their frequency assignments. It is a vendor-specific extension likely used alongside other Alvarion BreezeACCESS enterprise MIBs for full base station management. It is deployed in fixed wireless broadband access networks where a base station serves multiple subscriber premises radios. Engineers can download the BSUSUBASE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in BSUSUBASE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Aperto Networks (Ceragon) PacketWave/WiMAX base station units (BSU)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator can walk aniBsuSuBaseTable to enumerate every subscriber unit entry and check aniBsuSuNetworkAccess to confirm which SUs are permitted network access, and aniBsuSuMaxHostSupport to verify per-SU host limits are correctly provisioned. Cross-referencing aniBsuSuTargetFreq against aniBsuSuFrequencyTable can reveal a subscriber unit that has drifted to an unexpected frequency, a common cause of degraded wireless link quality. Unexpected changes in aniBsuSuNetworkAccess status could also indicate an SU that has been administratively or automatically deauthorized.

What Can Be Monitored

  • subscriber unit network access status
  • maximum hosts supported per SU
  • target operating frequency
  • SU association table entries
