What Is BASEBRDD-MIB-MIB?

BASEBRDD-MIB-MIB is a supplementary bridging/routing extension that layers Dell/DMTF-style hardware inventory and environmental objects (manufacturer, product, version, serial number, and temperature probes) onto the base BASEBRDD-MIB bridging module. Its objects mix DMTF component identification data (dMTFComponentIDTable) with Dell-specific temperature probe monitoring (dellTemperatureProbeTable), suggesting it is used on Dell-branded network appliances that also expose bridging functionality. The clear hardware-monitoring role here is environmental: dellTemperatureProbeState reports the health/state of onboard temperature sensors, letting an operator detect overheating conditions, while the component ID table provides serial number and version data useful for asset and firmware-version tracking. It explicitly depends on and extends the base BASEBRDD-MIB bridging module, and follows DMTF standard MIF/component-ID conventions for its inventory fields.
