Category: ATM, Vendor: AudioCodes

Description: Provides ATM interface management objects used as shared definitions across AudioCodes ATM-capable gateway and media conversion products.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is AcAtm?

AcAtm is an AudioCodes proprietary MIB configuring ATM ports on AudioCodes media gateway hardware that includes ATM interfaces. It exposes a global default application-type and transmission-mode setting alongside a per-port table reporting administrative and operational state, port addressing, and alarm status. As a hardware/configuration-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm an ATM port is administratively and operationally up and check its alarm status when diagnosing a voice-over-ATM transport issue. It is deployed on AudioCodes gateways using ATM as a voice/data transport layer. Engineers can download the AcAtm file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AcAtm. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • AudioCodes media gateways with ATM transport interfaces

Monitoring Examples

An administrator compares atmPortAdministrativeState against atmPortOperationalState and atmPortAlarmStatus for a port to distinguish an intentionally-disabled port from one that's enabled but alarming.

What Can Be Monitored

  • ATM port admin/operational state
  • port alarm status
