What Is ACC-ATMSLV?

ACC-ATMSLV is an enterprise MIB for ACC/Ericsson access equipment managing configuration and status of ATM "slave" interface/processor cards, auxiliary line cards handling ATM adaptation-layer and connection parameters under control of the main system CPU. It exposes per-card hardware inventory objects, including accVWSlvConfCPUID, accVWSlvConfHWVers, accVWSlvConfSWVers, and accVWSlvConfProcType, alongside memory-capacity and utilization objects such as accVWSlvConfLocalRam, accVWSlvConfGlobalRam, and accVWSlvMemStatTable. This makes it directly useful for hardware/software status monitoring: an operator can confirm each slave card's software version, processor type, and available/used RAM to catch memory exhaustion or a card running mismatched firmware. It is a card-level companion to other ACC MIBs like ACC-FILESYS, which handles overall file/flash storage, and ACC-ALARMS, which handles fault reporting, for a complete device picture. It is deployed on ACC/Ericsson multi-card access routers/switches that use pluggable ATM interface modules. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the ACC-ATMSLV file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ACC-ATMSLV. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ACC/Ericsson access router/switch with ATM interface cards

Monitoring Examples

An administrator polls accVWSlvConfTable/accVWSlvConfEntry to inventory each ATM slave card's accVWSlvConfCPUID, accVWSlvConfSWVers, and accVWSlvConfHWVers, confirming all cards in the chassis run a consistent firmware revision. Checking accVWSlvMemStatTable, indexed by accVWSlvMemCPUID, against accVWSlvConfLocalRam/accVWSlvConfGlobalRam reveals whether a given card's memory usage is approaching its total capacity, a leading indicator of card instability or an unplanned reload.

What Can Be Monitored

  • per-card CPU ID and processor type
  • software version per card
  • hardware version per card
  • local and global RAM capacity
  • memory utilization per card
