What Is AT-SMI-MIB?
AT-SMI-MIB defines the Structure of Management Information (SMI) and root OID hierarchy for Allied Telesis (Allied Telesyn) enterprise networking equipment, serving as the foundational namespace under which all other Allied Telesis MIB modules register their object identifiers. It contains no runtime data objects itself; it is purely a structural definition establishing the enterprise's private OID branch. Consequently it plays no direct role in reporting hardware or software status such as uptime, temperature, or interface state; that data is exposed by the product-specific Allied Telesis MIBs layered on top of this SMI root. It depends on the standard SNMPv2-SMI framework for enterprise OID assignment administered by IANA, and any lookup of an Allied Telesis AT-SMI-MIB OID ultimately traces back through this module to that IANA-assigned enterprise number. It's present as a foundational module alongside Allied Telesis managed switches, routers, and media converters.

Monitoring Examples
This module defines only the SMI/OID root structure with no sample objects, tables, or scalars, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe; it exists solely to give Allied Telesis product MIBs a registered parent OID under which to expose their own manageable data.
