Description: Reports installed line-card and expansion board inventory, status, and configuration on Allied Telesis modular chassis devices.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is AT-BOARDS-MIB?
This is a vendor-specific MIB from Allied Telesis defining OID subtrees for board, release, interface-type, and chip identifiers used across Allied Telesis modular chassis products. It is largely a naming/registration MIB establishing identifier subtrees (boards, release, ifTypes, chips) rather than exposing live runtime data itself. Its practical monitoring value is indirect: other Allied Telesis MIBs reference these identifiers to report installed line-card/expansion-board inventory, hardware revision, and chip type, which downstream tools use to determine hardware status and compatibility. It is a dependency that other Allied Telesis hardware-inventory MIBs build on rather than a standalone monitoring MIB. It is used across the Allied Telesis modular switch/router chassis product line wherever board inventory needs a shared identifier registry, with the AT-BOARDS-MIB OID subtree providing that shared naming layer.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AT-BOARDS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

- Allied Telesis modular chassis switch/router
Monitoring Examples
This module is primarily an OID-registration/definitions module (defining the boards, release, ifTypes, and chips subtrees) rather than one exposing runtime monitoring objects itself, so there is no standalone monitoring scenario to describe honestly. Other Allied Telesis MIBs reference these identifier subtrees when reporting which board or chip type is installed in a given slot.
