Description: Manages ISDN Basic Rate Interface (BRI) configuration and call statistics on Allied Telesis router platforms.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is AT-BRI-MIB?

AT-BRI-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB from Allied Telesis for managing ISDN Basic Rate Interface (BRI) modules on its router platforms, covering both the physical BRI interface board and its logical B/D channels. It exposes configuration data such as board position, interface mode, and TDM/ISDN channel mapping, along with per-channel status through the briChanTable. Although focused on WAN interface configuration, it supports monitoring the hardware presence and operational mapping of BRI interface cards and channels, letting an operator confirm a given BRI port and its channels are correctly enumerated and mapped to TDM timeslots. It is a self-contained vendor MIB rather than an extension of a standard ISDN MIB, reflecting Allied Telesis's proprietary indexing scheme for interface boards and positions. It is typically used in branch-office or small-site routers that rely on ISDN BRI for backup or primary WAN connectivity, and network staff consult the AT-BRI-MIB MIB definition when configuring these interface cards.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AT-BRI-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Allied Telesis routers with ISDN BRI interface modules

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll briIntTable/briIntEntry indexed by briIntBoardIndex and briIntBoardPosition to confirm briIntMode reflects the intended point-to-point or point-to-multipoint configuration for a given BRI port. briIntTdmChannelMap and briIntIsdnChannelMap reveal how B-channels are mapped onto TDM timeslots, useful for diagnosing a channel that fails to establish calls. briChanTable/briChanEntry, indexed by briChanIntIndex and briChanChannelIndex, would be polled to check the operational state of an individual B-channel when a call fails to connect.

What Can Be Monitored

  • BRI board/interface presence and position
  • BRI interface mode
  • TDM-to-ISDN channel mapping
  • per-channel status
