Category: Alarm and Event Management, Vendor: Allied Telesis

Description: Manages alarm monitoring configuration and active alarm state on Allied Telesis network switches and routers.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is AT-ALMMON-MIB?

AT-ALMMON-MIB is an Allied Telesis proprietary MIB for alarm monitoring configuration and active-alarm reporting on Allied Telesis switches and routers. It exposes configuration controlling which conditions raise alarms alongside a table of currently active device alarms with severity and description. Its monitoring purpose is a general-purpose fault/alarm aggregation layer: it surfaces whatever hardware or software fault conditions the device has been configured to watch (potentially including power, temperature, or module faults) as a single consolidated active-alarm list, serving as a top-level device health summary rather than exposing individual sensor readings. No strong dependency on other standard MIBs is evident from the description. It is deployed on Allied Telesis enterprise switches/routers where operators want one consolidated alarm view instead of polling many individual status objects. Engineers can download the AT-ALMMON-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AT-ALMMON-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Allied Telesis switch/router

Monitoring Examples

No sample objects were captured for this module. Based on its purpose, it would expose an active-alarm table (alarm identifier, severity, description, timestamp) that an operator polls or traps on for a consolidated view of current device faults, alongside alarm-monitoring configuration controlling which conditions are tracked.

What Can Be Monitored

  • active alarm list (severity/description)
  • alarm monitoring configuration (tracked conditions)
