Description: Aruba wired switch (ArubaOS-CX) AAA authentication, authorization, and accounting configuration.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ARUBAWIRED-AAA-MIB?

ARUBAWIRED-AAA-MIB is an HPE Aruba Networking proprietary MIB configuring AAA (RADIUS and TACACS+) server settings on Aruba's wired switch platform (ArubaOS-CX). It exposes RADIUS and TACACS+ server tables keyed by VRF, reporting each configured server's address, port, port type, and last-known reachability status. As a configuration/service-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm which AAA servers are configured per VRF and, via the reachability status object, catch an AAA server that has become unreachable before it causes authentication failures. It is deployed on Aruba (HPE) wired switches using centralized AAA for network access control. Engineers can download the ARUBAWIRED-AAA-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ARUBAWIRED-AAA-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Aruba Networks (HPE) ArubaOS-CX wired switches

Monitoring Examples

An administrator monitors arubaWiredRadiusServerReachabilityStatus across configured RADIUS servers to catch one going unreachable before it starts causing 802.1X authentication timeouts for connecting devices.

What Can Be Monitored
