ARUBAWIRED-NETWORKING-OID defines the root OID registration and SMI structure for Aruba (HPE) wired networking product MIBs, specifically the ArubaOS-CX switch line, following HPE's acquisition and integration of Aruba's wired switching portfolio under HPE Networking. It establishes hierarchical OID branches for device identifiers (wndDeviceIds) and component identifiers (wndComponentIds) used to uniquely identify ArubaOS-CX switch models and hardware components across HPE's broader "hpe"/"reservedhpeNetworking" enterprise tree. As a pure OID-registration module it defines no managed objects or runtime data itself, so it exposes no hardware or software status such as uptime, temperature, CPU, or fan health directly -- those are found in the ArubaOS-CX system, environmental, and interface MIB modules that reference the device and component identifiers registered here. Its dependency is structural, tying ArubaOS-CX product MIBs into HPE's overall Networking enterprise OID hierarchy. It is deployed as a compile-time prerequisite wherever Aruba/HPE ArubaOS-CX wired switches are managed via SNMP, meaning ARUBAWIRED-NETWORKING-OID SNMP monitoring of actual device health happens only indirectly, through the product-specific MIB modules that build on the identifiers it registers.

Monitoring Examples

The objects present -- hpe, reservedhpeNetworking, wiredNetworkingDevices, arubaOS-CX, wndDeviceIds, wndComponentIds -- are all OID-tree/registration nodes used to identify device models and hardware components, not runtime data. There is no monitoring scenario to describe here since this module carries no pollable instances; actual ArubaOS-CX switch status (ports, environment, CPU) would be monitored via the product MIB modules that register their device/component identities under this OID structure.
