Description: Apertus Technologies universal access threshold-based policy trigger and alarm management.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is APERTUS-UA-THRESHOLD-MIB?
APERTUS-UA-THRESHOLD-MIB is an Apertus Technologies enterprise MIB (apertus 543 / isg / aperua / aperthresh) for Apertus's Universal Access (UA) server load-balancing layer. It exposes overall server status and uptime (aperThreshConfigStatus: ready/loading/down, aperThreshConfigUpTime), per-domain load-balancing state in aperThreshDomainTable (free/max sessions, up/down server counts, and percent-vs-absolute comparison method), and per-node threshold state in aperThreshNodeTable (threshold percent at which a node becomes eligible for traffic, up/down/notqueried status, sessions available/possible, and hand-fasted session count). This models threshold-based load distribution across a pool of backend nodes rather than raw traffic counters, so it is useful for confirming that load-balancing thresholds are correctly steering session load and that no backend node has silently gone down. It is deployed on Apertus Universal Access servers acting as session load balancers, and operators can pull the APERTUS-UA-THRESHOLD-MIB download to load its object definitions into a MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in APERTUS-UA-THRESHOLD-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Apertus Technologies Universal Access (UA) server / load-balancing appliance
Monitoring Examples
An operator polls aperThreshNodeStatus and aperThreshNodeSessionsAvailable for each node in a load-balance domain; a node stuck at down or notqueried while aperThreshDomainDownServers climbs indicates the UA server's load-balancing pool has lost capacity and remaining nodes are absorbing a larger share of sessions.
What Can Be Monitored
- server ready/loading/down status
- per-domain free/max session counts
- per-domain up/down server counts
- per-node threshold percentage and status
- per-node available/possible session counts
