Category: Wireless and WLAN
Description: Aironet/Telco AP553 wireless access point configuration and radio status management.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is AP553-MIB?
AP553-MIB is a General DataComm (Frame Relay probe/access-product heritage) proprietary MIB configuring Frame Relay LMI (Local Management Interface) probe parameters. Its objects cover MIB version, LMI operation/DLCI/IP-DLCI/IP-encapsulation, channel aggregate rate, LMI type, N391/N392/N393 counters, T391/T392 timers, max info length, unit type, probe mode, poll period, PVC count, probe token size, and PVC add/delete/discovery actions with a configurable operational-state-change trap severity. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm Frame Relay LMI polling parameters and PVC discovery settings on a General DataComm access probe. It is deployed on General DataComm Frame Relay access/probe equipment. Engineers can download the AP553-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AP553-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- General DataComm Frame Relay access/probe equipment
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks lmiType and t391Timer to confirm the Frame Relay LMI polling configuration matches the carrier's switch on a General DataComm access probe.
What Can Be Monitored
- Frame Relay LMI configuration and PVC discovery
