What Is ANS-TRAPS-MIB?
ANS-TRAPS-MIB is a private MIB (built on ANS-ALARM-MIB/ANS-COMMON-MIB/ANS-EQUIPMENT-MIB) defining the alarm-notification varbind set for this vendor's telecom equipment family. Its objects carry an identifier, the affected entity reference, alarm type/severity, alarm and event timestamps, free-text alarm information, and a network-element ID. As a notification-support MIB it lets a management station decode structured alarm traps into affected-entity, type, and severity fields rather than parsing a generic message string. It is deployed on this vendor's telecom equipment family. Engineers can download the ANS-TRAPS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
