Description: Manages the AI193TX network device, providing interface configuration and status monitoring objects.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is AI193TX-MIB?
AI193TX-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB for a Series One TCP/IP Smart Line Card (SLC) product, covering the AI193TX line card model used in legacy telecom/data access equipment. It exposes interface-level configuration and status objects along with a call table that tracks individual calls/connections handled by the line card, including call status, source, source/destination addresses, packets sent, packets received, and the called port. For hardware/software status monitoring, this MIB allows an operator to check the interface status and the number and state of active calls, which reflects the operational health of the card's call-processing/data-forwarding function. It defines its own top-level system OID rather than depending heavily on other standard MIBs, consistent with a self-contained legacy enterprise device MIB. It would be deployed on AI193TX Smart Line Cards used in legacy TCP/IP-over-telecom access equipment. Engineers can download the AI193TX-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AI193TX-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- AI193TX Smart Line Card (SLC)
Monitoring Examples
An operator would poll aiTX1NumCalls and the aiTX1CallTable (indexed by aiTX1CallIndex) to see currently active calls, checking aiTX1CallStatus and aiTX1CallSrcAddress/aiTX1CallDestAddress to verify which endpoints are connected through the card. A call entry stuck in a non-established aiTX1CallStatus, or aiTX1CallPacketsSent/aiTX1CallPktsRcvd counters that stop incrementing, would indicate a hung or failed call on the aiTX1CalledPort. Comparing aiTX1Interface status against active call counts helps confirm the line card's data path is healthy.
What Can Be Monitored
- interface status
- number of active calls
- per-call status
- call source/destination address
- call packets sent/received
