Description: Number of errored seconds (ES) encountered during the 24-hour reporting period. It is the sum of ES statistics for the 96 15-minute intervals.
What is adnsonetTotalESs?
This gauge is the sum of all errored seconds over the entire 24-hour reporting period (96 intervals of 15 minutes each). A network engineer uses this to report daily line quality to management and calculate a percentage uptime metric. A 24-hour total of 1440 errored seconds means 25% of the day had at least one bit error, which is unacceptable for a production line.
