What is adnsonetMediumLaserDegradation?
ADN-MIB::adnsonetMediumLaserDegradation measures how long (in counter units) the optical transmitter's laser has been operating in a degraded state—outputting less light than normal. Network engineers care because a degraded laser warns of impending failure and may already be reducing signal quality to the far end. A rising counter value tells you to order a replacement laser applique before the signal becomes too weak to receive.
