What is adnsonetMediumConfigLaserPower?

ADN-MIB::adnsonetMediumConfigLaserPower is a read-write control that determines the laser transmission state: on with automatic shutdown disabled, on with automatic laser shutdown (ALS) enabled, off, or not supported by the hardware. Engineers configure this to reduce power consumption (ALS), ensure the laser is off during maintenance (LaserOFF), or disable ALS when remote equipment is sensitive to signal drops. A setting of 'LaserONALS' means the laser will power down automatically if the far-end link fails, preventing excessive optical noise.
