Description: This variable indicates the performance status of the interface. It is a bit map represented as a sum; therefore, it can represent multiple defects simultaneously. The adnsonetNoDefect bit should be set only if no other bit is set. The adnsonetUnavailablePeriod bit indicates that the interface has entered an unavailable period. Each CrossingThreshold bit indicates that the corresponding performance counter has reached its threshold.

What is adnsonetLinePerfStatus?

This is a bitmap where each bit represents a different performance defect (errors, threshold crossings, unavailable period, etc.), allowing multiple problems to be reported simultaneously. A sysadmin looks at this during outages to understand which specific performance thresholds were crossed. A value like 0x0003 might mean 'threshold 1 crossed AND no-defect bit set' (a manufacturer-specific encoding that requires documentation).
