Description: Duration of far end received failure (FERF) received from the remote equipment at DS3 level. FERF is also called remote alarm indication (RAI) or received yellow alarm. Counter #3 of the ATM core, only available on BBT3Bx boards and BBTP3C board with HATT3C applique.
What is adnX3YellowAlarmCounter?
This counter tracks how long the DS3 line has received a yellow alarm signal (also called FERF or remote alarm indication) from the far-end equipment, measured continuously. Network engineers monitor this to identify if the remote side is experiencing problems that cause it to send back an alert signal. A value of 5000 milliseconds means the remote equipment has been signaling a fault condition for 5 seconds.
