What is adnX3PathferfTest?
This OID is a read-write test variable that injects a constant yellow alarm (FERF) signal at the DS3 path level to the remote equipment. A network engineer uses this during diagnostic testing to confirm that the remote device properly recognizes and responds to path-level alarm signals. Activating this variable causes the far end to receive a continuous path-level yellow alarm, validating that remote alarm detection is functioning.
