Description: Duration of loss-of-frame (LOF). Counter #7 of the ATM core, only available on BBT3Bx, BBE3Bx and BBTP3C boards.
What is adnX3LOFCounter?
This counter records the duration for which the interface has lost synchronization with incoming DS3 frame boundaries, a critical condition that halts all traffic. Network engineers treat LOF as a major alarm—when present, the link is completely non-functional. An LOF duration of 8000 milliseconds means the link lost frame sync for 8 seconds total.
