What is adnX3IdleCellFillingconfig?
This OID controls which type of filler cell is inserted during ATM cell rate decoupling (CRD) on the DS3 line—either unassigned cells (ATM Forum standard) or idle cells (ITU standard). A network engineer sets this to match the remote equipment and carrier requirements; the selection affects how empty bandwidth is filled and how the far end interprets unused capacity. Choosing unassigned cells fills idle bandwidth with cells marked as unused per ATM Forum rules, while idle cells uses the ITU-compliant idle cell format.
