Description: Duration of high bit error rate (HBER). Counter #30 of the ATM core, only available on BBT3B board.
What is adnX3HBERCounter?
This counter measures the duration for which the DS3 interface has experienced a high bit error rate condition, defined by transmission standards as excessive bit errors. HBER is a precursor to link failure and indicates optical or electrical signal degradation. An HBER duration of 6000 milliseconds means the link has been in high-error state for 6 seconds.
