adnUCNodeDeliveryType

Module: ADN-MIB

OID (symbolic): ADN-MIB::adnUCNodeDeliveryType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.637.3.1.5.12.1.20

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The type of delivery made by the NMS to the HSS. SingleReplacement means that the entire software version for the HSS is being delivered, and should replace unconditionally whatever is the current software version running at the HSS. SingleModification means that the delivery from the NMS may be full or partial, and that the HSS will detect which files have changed between the current HSS software version and the new delivery. For both singleReplacement and singleModification, there is just one single delivery tar file from the NMS, not multiple tar files.

What is adnUCNodeDeliveryType?

This OID controls how the network management system delivers software updates: either 'SingleReplacement' (replace all files) or 'SingleModification' (update only changed files). Network engineers configure this to optimize update time and minimize device disruption by choosing whether to do a full or incremental software delivery. For example, setting this to 'SingleModification' tells the device to only update files that changed, making updates faster; 'SingleReplacement' is safer for critical upgrades.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.637.3.1.5.12.1.20
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ADN-MIB::adnUCNodeDeliveryType

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.637.3.1.5.12.1.20.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ADN-MIB::adnUCNodeDeliveryType.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.637.3.1.5.12.1.20.1 i <value>
