Description: Indicates whether the SNMP agent is permitted to generate major traps. The value of this object provides a means whereby all major traps may be disabled. Common name: Send Major Traps.
What is adnTrapEnableMajor?
This controls whether the device sends major-severity alarm notifications to the management station. Major alerts indicate significant problems that need attention but aren't immediately critical. Disabling this lets you filter out less urgent alerts while keeping critical ones flowing.
