Stores the interface index of the underlying physical line that carries and supports this TDP interface. Network engineers use this to correlate logical TDP interfaces back to physical hardware for troubleshooting and performance analysis. If this value is 8, the TDP interface runs on physical interface 8, which might be an ATM line card or port.
