Description: The maximum Cell Delay Variation (CDV) for egress. This value is configured when an interface is created. The egress direction means the direction of outwards traffic flow from the interface. A value of -1 indicates that the field is not used. Common Name: Max Egress CDV
What is adnTdpIfMaxCdvEgress?
This OID limits how much variation in delay is tolerated for outgoing cells (how much some cells can lag behind others). Cell delay variation matters because if some cells arrive much faster than others, they arrive out of order and applications like video streaming stutter. For example, setting this to 10 milliseconds means you won't allow any outgoing cell to arrive more than 10ms later than its neighbors.
